Synopsis: One autumn day Little Red Hen finds some wheat grains, which she sows in her garden. Spring arrives after a long hard winter and soon green wheat shoots appear. By the end of the summer they have grown into tall, golden wheat heads that enterprising Little Red Hen harvests, threshes and winnows before taking them to the mill to make flour. All the while she has been working, her friends Cat, Rat and Pig haven't lifted a finger to help. So when she makes a loaf from the flour, she refuses to share it with them.
