About my WWF Environmental Musicals
The awesomeness of our natural world makes us want to sing and dance about it! I try to express this in my environmental musicals, with lively songs and dances, entertaining rhymes, informative scripts and exciting project ideas. Over the past twenty-five years, I have written five conservation musicals for WWF, who commissioned talented artists to illustrate my work with great sensitivity.
Although my musicals are about serious issues, including deforestation, pollution and endangered species, I like to approach these problems in an upbeat way, concentrating on Earth's amazing wildlife and habitats. It is far better to encourage children’s innate fascination and love of nature than dwell on environmental problems caused by previous generations. I am convinced that in the long run, a positive approach will do our planet more good.
But progress is also very important. Science and technology are vital to the wellbeing and future prosperity of the world, and worth making a song and dance about too! Hopefully, today's children will grow up to make a big world of difference tomorrow!
