This entertaining musical is based on the traditional Christmas carol, 'The Friendly Beasts'. A bunch of comical birds and animals play important parts leading up to and during the birth of Jesus. A stoical donkey carries Mary to Bethlehem, a motherly ox offers its stable and manger, a sheep keeps the baby warm, while gentle doves coo him to sleep. Bossy owls organize the whole event and even unfriendly street dogs and cats eventually come to visit.
Cooperation and kindness are portrayed by these endearing creatures - an important lesson for everyone at Christmas!
