About Assembly Shows
The class assembly is an important weekly event, giving pupils an opportunity to share their classwork with the whole school. Debbie Campbell’s Assembly Shows tick the curriculum boxes, re-enforce learning and entertain. Presenting the show themselves is great for children's self-confidence, memorisation, reading and speaking skills. As younger pupils watch older ones perform, a tradition is established throughout the school of speaking confidently, listening to and encouraging each other. Scripts are full of carefully-researched topic information, and are often in rhyme, making them easy to memorise and fun to recite. Flexible casts have short, equally-distributed speaking parts, and everyone sings the topic-related song with fun actions. This great for children’s fitness and well-being, and guarantees the whole school leaves the hall in good spirits, and with a catchy tune in their head!
