A great musical about a favourite folktale

This adventure musical, based on the legend of Dick Whittington, gives an insight into life in the Middle Ages, and shows the importance of hard work, kindness and luck! It is ideal for 9 to 13 year olds, with plenty of choruses of younger pupils, and can be performed throughout the year as well as a Christmas Pantomime.

In his rise from a homeless lad to fame and fortune, Dick is hindered by street urchins and rats, and helped by jolly craftsmen, a clever cat and an African Queen. In the end he marries Alice Fitzwarren, the boss's daughter and becomes Lord Mayor of London three times! Whether true or folklore, 'Dick Whittington' remains a favourite story, and there is even a memorial to Dick and his cat on Highgate Hill.

With thirteen great songs, lively dances, colourful costumes and hilarious script, Dick Whittington will be a favourite of children and adults of all ages.
